"What's Cookin'?" my Grandmother would say when you walked into her home on a Friday night for a Shabbat dinner. It was her way of greeting you while the smells of matzah ball soup, challah, and roast chicken were in the air. While my children were growing up, our family tradition started when I would make challah, dinner, and treats every Friday night. I want to share that tradition with you. What began with challah has expanded to babkas, cookies, scones, buckeyes, and other special treats—each handmade with love just like Grammy.
